Dear ARCSIX colleagues,
thank you for participating in the kickoff meeting last week. The slides have been posted here<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fpresentation%2Fd%2F1GGrK0Cw0B64DjkCufjETNSrZXuRM0vl8%2Fedit%3Fusp%3Dshare_link%26ouid%3D104722359441865148097%26rtpof%3Dtrue%26sd%3Dtrue&data=05%7C01%7CArcsix%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cfb0d2b638e014dafa6cc08db024c2e28%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638106298591750455%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C2000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=8Y%2FhS6loILJhdec8DzS8HG65mHHzwTXeYp6zVlfisz0%3D&reserved=0>. If you cannot access this link, please let Dan know (Dan.C at nasa.gov).
Thank you for filling out the poll for our bi-weekly meetings. The best time slot is Tuesday, 2pm EST, and the next meeting will be February 7. Please watch out for a meeting invitation from Dan Chirica.
A few other items:
* A few of you have requested to be added to the mailing list. Either send an email to Dan.C at nasa.gov or see slide #23 from the kickoff telecon slides.
* Please review the working groups on slide #28. They are not set in stone, so please send feedback / volunteer to lead. Please also review a few action items on slide #29, and check #30 for some Q&A.
* Instrument, modeling, forecasting teams: We would like to have short (~10 minute) presentations on your capabilities during the next few weeks, as well as aspirations for the mission and general input into the implementation of ARCSIX. Please get on the telecon schedule by sending me an email.
* The plan for the dry run is to set up logistics during February/March, and conduct the dry run itself April/May. We will discuss details at the next telecon. During February/March, we should refine the science and priorities as set by the white paper. Some of this process can happen work group internally. Note that some campaign logistics (especially timing) need to be set over the next 2-4 weeks.
* Looking for a volunteer to start populating the ESPO-hosted website with ARCSIX content (for now, this will be very basic).
* Next telecon (February 7, 2pm EST) – 1 hour, but if you can please plan for 1 ½ hours to allow for more discussion time.
* Flight planning software presentation
* Working group and dry run logistics + current “regimes and priorities” presentation and discussion
* Science presentation (TBD, likely on modeling/obs topic)
* Miscellaneous (e.g., logo, website, in-person meeting date discussion)
* General discussion time
Thank you for all your work. Hope to see you soon.
Sebastian
