Hi all,
yes, it's September already, and it's been three weeks since Sam's nice flight software presentation. I would like to give you an update on a few ARCSIX-related things – and there's some homework (in red) 🙂

  * Our next plenary meeting is on September 12 (you should have an invite on your calendars).
  * Payload planning for the P-3 is moving along well; all PIFs are now submitted (!), Monica and others are diligently working on designs and the floorplan, mass estimate etc. A recent concern was the oversubscribed DC, which has been almost worked out.
  * Aircraft operators are working on plans for Thule/Pituffik, including hangar space etc. Hal, Dan, and Kelly are going on a site visit soon.
  * Patrick, Linette, and I are working on a timeline/procedure for flight planning, which we'd like to discuss on September 12. We will most likely send out some thoughts prior to the meeting.
  * We need to combine and harmonize the various objectives that science team members contributed. To facilitate that process, I started a spreadsheet here<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fspreadsheets%2Fd%2F1IiGdNXghfE_sXjCYA4NWBb02YjeGgHa80v3hlqaOxW0%2Fedit%3Fusp%3Dsharing&data=05%7C01%7CArcsix%40espo.nasa.gov%7C84833c35890e43ded5aa08dbaab08c77%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638291447471115966%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=5ui0%2F%2BDnTsW%2B1hMwqUueyrYTGEfzFXI0B%2Fj854p6Z9Q%3D&reserved=0>. On the aerosol and radiation WG tabs, I provided examples with submissions by Ralph/Lauren/Armin and Brian/Snorre, with links to the 2-pagers themselves. Working groups and/or individual contributors: Can you please put the objectives / 2-pagers that you are aware of into that same spreadsheet for all to see? Kerry/Jens: I volunteer to do it for the radiation WG. Ideally, we'd like to go through the list of objectives and a few sample 2-pagers during our next meeting. I will pester the WG leads in separate emails to gather this information.
  * We need to collect the various ideas for flight modules (Linette's/Vanessa's "Frankenstein" [puzzle] approach) that we worked on during the STM. Let's please discuss how to do that at the next meeting (September 12). Linette/Vanessa, I will also reach out to you separately.

That's it for now. Please keep thinking about / working on ARCSIX, especially on those objective documents and modules...
Happy Labor Day weekend and see you on September 12.
Sebastian
