This might be of interest - something to file away in the archive in case it comes up, at least

NASA's Web Development group has set up a Redirect Resources page

https://website.nasa.gov/redirect-resources/

If you come across a link to an old NASA page that doesn't go anywhere anymore, and you know what the current link is for the content, you can use a form linked on that page to send the information to the NASA website admins, and they will set up a redirect from the old URL to the new one.

For example, on one of our older pages, we had a link for DISCOVER-AQ to
https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/discover-aq/

That page is gone, but there is a current page for the DISCOVER-AQ mission
https://science.nasa.gov/mission/discover-aq

Once they create the redirect, people who click on that old link on our page will end up at the new page. Much better.
