Background:The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) continues to add new collaboration devices and service options to support secure, hybrid meetings across the agency.The Meeting Owl 3 device provides 360 camera view, mic, and speakers that creates an immersive meeting experience for hybrid teams. Meeting Owl 3 cameras should only be used in their current, approved, non-networked configuration to comply with NASA IT security policy.This notification provides specific guidelines for use of the Meeting Owl 3 videoconferencing camera in conference rooms.
What’s Happening:You must use the Meeting Owl 3 with its provided in-room cables to connect directly to your NASA laptop and in-room display devices.To comply with NASA IT security policies, please:
Do not connect the Meeting Owl 3 to the NASA network by an ethernet (wired) or wireless network connection.
Do not alter the configuration of Meeting Owl 3 devices.
Do not introduce software or firmware updates to a Meeting Owl 3 using an unauthorized or personal device.
Do not use network-connected wireless devices such as tablets or mobile phones to control a Meeting Owl 3 using the Meeting Owl application.
