I think this went to everyone on center but I’m not sure.  I don’t expect this to impact anyone since we don’t usually come into the office on Thursdays but I wanted to make sure there were no surprises if you did come in.

Subject: Heads-up: Network Maintenance in Buildings N229, N230, N232, N233A, N234, N236, N237 Thursday, Sept. 7, Please Plan Accordingly

WHAT IS IT?
The Enterprise Network Operations Center (ENOC) team will be performing maintenance to the network equipment in your building. For emergency services, dial 650-604-5555 (Center emergency dispatch) from your mobile phone, as VoIP phones will be unavailable.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT?
Momentary loss of ARCLAN network connectivity will occur during the upgrade. This includes intermittent availability of LAN devices, VoIP phones, and Wi-Fi services. Note: No VoIP settings (e.g., Jabber, forwarding) will be changed.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The maintenance is scheduled Thursday, September 7, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Pacific).

WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED?
If you are at Ames during the network upgrade, please use mobile phones to make calls, and alert any external callers to use your mobile number to contact you. For emergency services, dial 650-604-5555 (Center emergency dispatch) from your mobile phone, as VoIP phones will be unavailable. Beyond being aware of the scheduled upgrade, above impacts, and using your mobile phone for calls (emergency, inbound, outbound), there are no other actions required.
