Subject: [Sgp-cs] Announcing the new ARC-SGP Assistant Branch Chief, Mr Erin Czech
Dear Earth Science Division Family,
We are very happy to announce long time ESPO Project Manager, Mr Erin Czech, as newly minted Assistant Branch Chief for the Earth Science Projects Branch (SGP). He will assist Marilyn Vasques with the Branch administration and planning. He will continue to support the ESPO projects as needed but will be focusing much of his time on providing much needed support to the Branch.
Erin Czech has been with the NASA Ames team since 2001, starting as a research assistant with Dr. Hanwant Singh supporting field work and research in atmospheric chemistry. In 2010, Erin moved to a position as a project coordinator with the Earth Science Project Office and began his work with ESPO on the Hurricane and Severe Storm Sentinel (HS3) EVS-1 investigation. After that, Erin supported the Atmospheric Tomography (ATom) EVS-2 investigation as deputy project manager and was later chosen as project manager for the Submesoscale Ocean Dynamics and Vertical Transport Experiment (S-MODE) EVS-3 investigation. In his career with ESPO, Erin has been a member of over 20 project teams.
Erin is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and San Jose State University with a master's degree in library and information science. Erin lives in San Jose in a full house with his wife, Liza; two children, Desmond and Phoebe; and two cats, Kuro and Greg. Erin enjoys traveling, hiking, music, movies, good TV, and an occasional craft beer.
Please join me in welcoming Erin in his new role!
Regards, Florian
