Subject: [BAERI] [All] Update from the road

Hi all,

It’s been a week since Stevie and I traveled to the east coast for EXPORTS. We have finished packing equipment at WHOI, Woods Hole, MA., and currently in Rhode Island. We shipped out four shipping containers from Ames and two from WHOI on Friday and expect to do at least four more from URI.

Things have gone well, there are always a few bumps in the road, so far we have been able overcome any major obstacles.

Travel is different these days. The last trip I did was to Atlanta for the IMPACTS site survey back in October of last year. Airports and airplanes were not crowded at all during that trip, definitely not the case now. Travel is different now. Airplanes are packed and the airlines aren’t serving any real food, just snacks, and the lines at the airport restaurants are long.

We have experienced a mix of New England weather since we’ve been here, really nice to rainy and windy, and slight dusting of snow the other day.

We’ll be here for a little over a week and plan to travel home around April 1.

Regards,
Quincy
