[All] PIV exemption justification

Hey all,

Marilyn and I came up with the following statement that you might consider using if/when requesting a PIV exemption prior to work travel. We think it’s a pretty solid justification that is generally applicable to all of us:

Employee will be on travel for an airborne science project deployment.  Having a PIV badge attached to their computer while moving from place to place creates a risk of loss, damage, or even theft. Additionally, using a PIV badge in a public airport or other public places may make the employee a target.

We’ll discuss a little more tomorrow at the team meeting.
