Dear SG community,

This week, we will have good opportunity to get to know the SGG permanent branch chief candidates better.
Please make the candidates feel welcome, represent your good work, the team and branches, and ask them good questions.

Tuesday August 18th are the seminars and Q&A (see email from me today), for the three candidates, from 11am through 3pm. Webex.

TO SIGN UP:
Wednesday August 19th (SGG) and Friday August 21st (SGE) are your opportunity to meet & greet the candidates.
(via Webex).

  *   Below are two doodle polls where you can sign up for a time slot. First come first serve, one selection per person.
  *   Time slots are STRICTLY 15 minutes, so plan on 10 minutes Q&A only, to make adequate time for changeover and introductions.

  *   Please follow this order for signing up:
     *   Monday Aug 17th the respective branch members sign up (e.g., for SGG candidates, SGG branch members only)
     *   Tuesday Aug 18th, anyone in SG can sign up for any of the slots.
     *   Poll / signup closes EOB Tuesday - tentatively.

     *   SGG candidate A: Wed from 9am to noon

  *   Forwarding policy: Please do not forward it beyond SG. If you know of someone within the division without access to this email list, then yes, you can forward it to them, but cc me and Ryan please.
  *   Mode: In each time slot, Ryan or Florian will only be there for the ~first minute and ~last minute per time slot. We will do other work and not listen or watch - this is the virtual equivalent of bringing a visiting candidate to your office. However, IF you WANT one of us in the room, let us know, too - by default we will leave you alone. You will still see Florian as Webex host connected, even if absent and not listening/watching (Florian’s computer will be on mute and sound off).

  *   I will send the Webex around to those who signed up, after polling closes (Tue night for SG-all)
