This email is only applicable if you received the forwarded email. Please disregard otherwise.

Hanyong’s email is a bit confusing, but it’s saying that they suspect you have a device accessing your NASA email in an unauthorized way. Their detection methods may not be accurate because I personally received this email and know my systems are not misconfigured.

Look in the following locations. Do you see your NASA account there in any capacity? If so, this email is asking you to remove it. If not, carry on being awesome.

  * (On your laptop) > System preferences > internet accounts

  * (In your iPhone) > settings > Passwords & accounts

It’s unclear what, if any, the repercussions are of following or not following this direction. It’s weird that they reached out to people directly like this.

Thanks! Have a marvelous Monday,

Dear user;

A recent software inventory shows that one or more of the systems that fall under your management may have an unauthorized configuration allowing either MacOSX or iOS native mail apps to access the user’s NASA O365 account. Please verify compliance by following the steps below to remove this configuration:

·         MacOSX
System Preferences -> Internet Accounts -> Remove the mail account

· From the Mail.app -> Mail (From Menu Bar) -> Accounts (Brings you to the Internet Accounts Preference Pane) -> Remove the mail account.

·         iOS
Settings -> General -> Password & Accounts -> Select the Account -> Scroll to the bottom and press "Sign Out"

If they have already been removed, please disregard this message. If you have any questions or concerns about these instructions, please let me know.

Thank you for your attention,
-- Han Cho
