All,
Melissa Yang asked me about the HTSOS country list so I provided her the Centerwide info and told her to talk to Gabe Lozano. She says that Gabe told her the Centerwide list of HTSOS countries is wrong and that the attached is the correct document. I emailed Gabe and asked him about who the letter covers. The letter states “travelers on official USG business” and the next sentence refers to USG employees. So, does this mean all contractors/cooperative agreement personnel need the training? Does this also mean all scientists from other institutions who are traveling as part of a NASA project (and funded by NASA funds) need to do it? I’m guessing the answer is yes to both of the questions but I’ll let you know what Gabe says.

Subject: Inconsistencies with countries in powerpoint and memo
Hi Marilyn,
Thanks for sending me Gabriel's contact. I have called him and he has confirmed that Canada is indeed a country included for 2018.
The countries listed in the powerpoint are incorrect. He said to please refer to the countries in the official letter, attached.
Thanks!
Melissa
