I’m thinking that 6:00-7:00 am on May 3rd at Ames is 01:00-02:00 May 4th in Fiji. I think it would be safe to assume that there would be no server access, from people on the DC-8, at that time.

In my opinion, this activity should have limited network impact to our building (where the cloud1 server resides) so I think we should not try to postpone it. Plus May 3rd is instrument access day in Nadi, Fiji, I assume less server access.

WHAT IS IT?
Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) are being installed in the communications closets, in your building, to provide Ames’ Local Area Network (ARCLAN) network-switch backup power.
WHAT IS THE IMPACT?
Brief LAN outages will occur while switches are connected to the UPS device.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The installation is scheduled, Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. (Pacific).
WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED?
Beyond being aware of the work occurring in your building, and brief LAN outages, there is no action required.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE:
Submit an incident ticket via ESD by calling 1-877-677-2123, Option 2, or online at https://esd.nasa.gov<https://esd.nasa.gov/>.
