Comments:This flight completed the remaining transects south of Cedarville and added an extra detail grid to the south. Data collection proceeded normally. Chase has adopted procedures that allow it to effectively perform its task without excessive "S" turns even with SIERRA flying at 55 kts and chase at 70 kts. All objectives have been met and this concludes a very successful deployment which overcame obstacles as all deployments do. It has been a pleasure for the SIERRA team to work with all the fine people of Ames Code TI and the USGS and the interest and support of the community of Cedarville was remarkable. Further investigations of the magnetic environment of Surprise Valley may continue with the Ames Swift UAS next year.
