Purpose of Flight:Science
Comments:The cessation of data from the magnetometer was traced to its data rate exceeding the capability of the data system (buffer overrun). The system was reconfigured and SIERRA was wheels up before 0800. Chase joined for a completion of the perimeter flight plan and then went on to finish the north transects at a higher airspeed of 60 kts which was more compatible with the performance characteristics of the manned aircraft. Fuel in both aircraft remained, so the north detail grid and larger compenstion box were also completed. This was a very successful data collection flight.
