Comments:Today's preflight went well – all instruments were functioning nominally. The flight took off from PMD at approximately 1200 PDT. During the normal ER-2 systems checks at an attitude around 18,000 feet, the pilot observed an indication of loss of pressure in the Q-bay and returned to PMD. During post flight inspection, a leak in a seal in the left hand super pod (downstream of Q-bay) was discovered. The seal will be replaced today to support another attempt at instrument checkout flight tomorrow.
