Funding Source:Allen Larar - NASA - SMD - ESD LaRC - Funding PI
Purpose of Flight:Science
Comments:The objective was night time coincidence with the SNPP and Metop-A satellites over the Pacific and Baja Mexico. Winds delayed take-off, and the aircraft was not coincident with Metop-A. However, the SNPP underflight was achieved. Cloud cover was solid undercast throughout the flight, with occasional clear. The cloud deck was solid at the underpass time. All instruments except NAST-M operated normally. NAST-M discovered a problem with their computer operating system after the flight. They believe data was collected, but are unable to recover that data at this time. They will not participate in the next flight. AVIRIS was in heaters only mode for this flight since it does not operate in no-light conditions.
