Precise navigation around Summit Station, Greenland

Screenshot of the "Soxmap" precise navigation display during our third pass near Summit Station.  Target paths are the magenta circles, actual paths are in light green, and the orange segmented line is a ground GPS survey which is conducted regularly by the station's crew.  The near-exact overlap between target and actual paths indicates excellent aircraft navigation performance.  The locations of the station and of the GISP2 deep core are depicted at right.  The two flight segments shown already completed are IceSat-2 ground tracks; the one in progress is IceSat-1 track 0412.
