LaRC Access
Attendees without NASA PIV cards or DOD CAC cards must have registered in advance for base access. Registration is now closed. Visitors must be prepared to present unexpired identity documents at LaRC as described below.
U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents with an active PIV badge or active DOD Common Access Card (CAC) enter by Main or back gate (see map).
- PIV badge: please confirm that ‘LaRC Physical Access’ has been provisioned in NAMS.
- CAC holders: Have card in hand to show officer at the gate.
Foreign National NASA-PIV Badge holders: Check email for instructions from Tracy May.
U.S. Citizens/Lawful Permanent Residents without a NASA Badge or DOD CAC including those with an active ASB badge from another Center. Proceed directly to the Main Gate at 1 Langley Boulevard, Hampton VA 23681 (see map) where you will present proper identification and be checked against an entry authorization list for Center Access. You will obtain a badge upon check-in at the conference center. Please arrive early as we anticipate lines at the gate!
- Driver should have proper identification for all vehicle occupants in hand to give to the officer at the Main gate:
- Acceptable IDs include: valid REAL ID compliant or enhanced state issued driver’s license/ID, a valid U.S. passport, or other valid U.S. Federal Government Agency issued photo ID.
- Lawful Permanent Residents are required to present their valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card.
Foreign National Visitors including those who hold an Agency Smart Badge (ASB) issued by any Center other than Langley: please review all communications sent to you directly. Bring all requested documents into the Badge and Pass Office (see map) at a time prearranged with your Foreign National Escort. Please contact Tamika Coleman.

LaRC Guest Wi-Fi
Anyone who registers for the meeting without using a NASA email address will be sent email about Guest Wi-Fi. Please check your email for instructions from ‘Identity.Manager’. It is critical to follow all instructions and set up a password before your visit to Langley to use the Guest Wi-Fi. If you do not set up a password prior to your visit, it is extremely difficult to get connected.
- When you arrive on Center, you will select ‘NASA-Connect’ from the Wi-Fi choices.
- Scroll down and click ‘Agency User ID’; enter your email address.
- Enter your password when prompted.

Important Information
- NASA participants: Forecasting/tracking this meeting is not required; do not enter this meeting into NCTS (NASA Conference Tracking System) or the new SCTMS (Science Conference and Travel Management System). This is a formal operational meeting with attendance limited to invited participants.
- To join the new NASA Atmosphere mailing list, please send an email with “Subscribe” in the subject line to atmosphere-join@espo.nasa.gov (anyone who has registered for the meeting will be subscribed to the new list).
