Comments:A Rwy 7 takeoff was followed by SIERRA flying out over the near shore seagrass site and executing the grid pattern four times. The 900 MHz control link did not work beyong 2 miles, but the Iridium control link became uncharacteristically reliable when the antenna was moved away from the hangar to provide a greater view of the sky. Rain clouds and increasing winds required a return to base for landing on Rwy 3.
