DYE-2 radar station

The DYE-2 radar station, on the southern Greenland ice sheet about 100 miles east of Kangerlussuaq.  Part of the Cold War-era Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line across the NATO-controlled portion of the Arctic, DYE-2 was one of four similar stations across southern Greenland.  Two of these were located on the ice sheet (the other being DYE-3 which we also saw today), and the other two were at coastal locations.  All were abandoned decades ago.
