The Beechcraft Baron B-55 (registration N4784M) is a four to six place all-metal, low-wing, twin-engine airplane with retractable tricycle landing gear, and a conventional horizontal and vertical stabilizer. The aircraft has a useful load of 1700 lbs total, or approximately 500 lbs. with full fuel and crew of two. The aircraft is fully IFR capable, and is equipped with anti-icing/de-icing equipment, as well as severe weather avoidance equipment. Two 28 Volts DC, 70 amp, engine-driven alternators power the electrical system. Alternating current requirements are handled with the addition of static invertors, capable of either 3-phase 400 Hz, or single phase 60 Hz power, at 115 VAC, with a 1.0 KVA power limit. Aircraft modifications include the addition of various UHF antennas utilized for datalink and telemetry applications. In-flight Iridium SATCOM is available with voice or data rates of up to 2400 baud. Up to two (2) standard 19 X 19 X 36 in. racks may be installed in the cabin with a maximum crew of three persons. A single, centrally located, 6 in. circular port (nadir) may be utilized for projects. Electrical protection is designed such that flight essential busses do not power project packages. Wiring and components are selected for their compliance with FAA Advisory Circular AC43.13-1B. Structural and electrical/avionics alterations comply with 14 CFR
