| Comments: | DAWN flight attemting to collect data on the Greenland southern tip jets. Climbed to 8500 ft MSL out of Narsarsuaq and flew the southern track line at a steadily decreasing altitude to remain VFR below an overcast. After the turn to the east, low ceilings and snow showers ultimately forced us to reverse course at the minimum data collection altitude of 2500 ft MSL. We returned along a parallel track to the west under improving ceilings. We terminated the flight early and replanned the expected third flight to allow a longer flight track returning to BGSF before field closure. We met NASA8 enroute to Norway during our refueling stop in Narsarsuaq. | ||||
