| Comments: | First research flight of the day. Flight plan was a track out to western NC to complete multiple legs SW-NE over the Boone NC mountains, followed by a transit to the RDU area and some turns over a boat taking measurements on Lake Jordon. Crew was Kagey, Faulkner. Conditions for the flight were good although there were clouds below the aircraft on the NW portion of the tracks. This required the tracks to be flown at 8,500' rather than 7,500'. Light turbulence over the mountains. We had fueled to the max possible today. Transit to RDU was uneventful and a single orbit was made over the boat's location. We landed at RDU for fuel. | ||||
